Hi, I’m Nastassia Bird
I graduated from the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute® in 2017 and completed my online training in Rapid Transformational (hypno)Therapy in 2021.
I have recently moved my massage practice to Prineville, Or from Jacksonville, Or and I look forward to connecting with my new community.
I put my massage practice on hold after the birth of my twins in 2024 and am happy to step outside of my home bubble and start offering bodywork again.
I am also excited to offer the hypnotherapy practices I have studied. Namely, RTT® and past-life regression.
It is my goal as an LMT, Rolfer™ and hypnotherapist to use my education, insights, and abilities to assist you in the healing you seek.
My Approach
Along with fascia and structural alignment, a large focus of my work is the nervous system. I understand my contact to be a direct communication with my client’s nervous system, inciting deeper levels of self awareness as well as encouraging change in tissues and alignment. I seek to establish this communication so that I can be effective at what I do.
In massage modality terms, I would compare what I learned at the Rolf Institute® to myofacial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, and active release technique all bundled up together. However, Dr. Ida Rolf adamantly maintained the unique perspective of her approach and felt to compare it to other modalities was folly.
My hands most often are not stroking (effleurage). Instead it is a slow, steady, consistent pressure informed by the change in fascia, stopping and “hanging out” where I feel discontinuity. I also tend to work two places at once, making connections between the locations. For example, working on my clients wrist to help release impingement in the shoulder girdle.
The Human body is an amazing biological machine, surprisingly resilient and capable of healing from incredible trauma, learning and arranging itself to best serve us in our lives, and constantly communicating through an intricate nervous system. I seek to stay present and curious when I do what I can to help each individual have a better experience in their bodies.
